Christmas is a time for joy, love and peace; things we sometimes take for granted. In the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season we can let our minds worry about getting everyone’s presents on time or even planning the Christmas Day feast. But it is so easy to forget about joy, love and peace.
This story touches on the lives of three individuals, who in the weeks leading up to Christmas are far from joyful, feeling loved and at peace. They are all individuals who go unnoticed in this busy world. The first is an international student who is surrounded by loneliness in a foreign land. The second, a family man who loses his job in the midst of financial troubles. And thirdly, a grieving girl who a week from Christmas loses her best friend. All of them are in dire straits but are given a push that brings them together to a place where joy, love and peace can be found.
These stories bring to life the importance of helping those in our community who are facing a Christmas that is filled with loneliness, grief and struggles that keep peace at bay. Joy, love and peace are not things we ought to desire for ourselves this Christmas, but things we ought to give to those around us.
